To the dear Sisulu Family

It is with sorrow and shock that my family and I received the news of the untimely passing of our departed brother Zwelakhe’s son, Moyikwa “Moyi” Sisulu.
I cannot begin to imagine the sorrow that must be engulfing the Sisulu family right now. While this must be a shock and excruciatingly painful on its own, I can imagine that it is opening old wounds of family members that passed on ahead of their time, among them, Zwelakhe himself.
We cannot always make sense of why our Creator allows such sorrow but can be assured that His grace will carry the family through this trying time.
Heartfelt condolences to the Sisulu family, particularly Sisi Zodwa, the widow of Moyi and the children, including little Melokuhle.
May you find comfort in the joyous memories you shared with Moyi. May you also be comforted by the fact that my family and many others share your sorrow and wish you comfort in this difficult time.
May Moyi’s soul rest in eternal peace.

It is with terror that I learned of the passing of Moyi at the weekend. There are no words to make up for, or truly soothe the pain of loss of a figure so indelible to his partner and children, to the Sisulu family but for God’s grace. A big loss not only to the Sisulu family but the country that is such acute hunger, thirst – need of young social, business, political pioneers to steer the country towards a future of the greatness we all aspire for. Gone too soon before the task has even begun.

It is with the greatest sadness I heard of the passing of Moyikwa.
I would like to express my deepest sympathies to you all and especially to his wife and children.
I did not know him for a long time and met him a few months ago when he came to view a studio we had on auction and for which he had an idea to turn it into a training school for students.
I connected with him immediately and was drawn to his quick sense of humour and openness, friendliness and honesty.
My deepest regret is that I did not get to know him more intimately and for a longer period.
We need more people like him in our country.
My heart goes out to the family and I can only wish you all happy memories and may his spirit and kindness be long remembered.
May he rest in peace.
